BE MORE BOSS

I’m now just over halfway through my first year at university and have loved getting as involved as I can, including joining the woman’s liberation assembly. Its taught me alot about myself and others, and fuled my hunger to learn so much more. That’s why I’m starting a ‘be more boss’ series where I’ll be sharing everything I’m learning about feminism, self confidence and what it means to be your own boss.

My dream is to create my own business one day so this will include what I’m learning about entrepreneurship and any inspiration I come across!

So what makes you a (good) boss?

The term boss takes many different meanings. For me, a boss is a woman who is determined and hard working to achieve her dreams. She knows what she deserves and what she is capable of and will never give up or settle for less. She maintains consideration of others and helps to support and empower the people around her.

Here are some of my favourite quotes

“Someone who is in charge of her own life. She gets what she wants because she works for it. As a #GIRLBOSS, you take control and accept responsibility. You’re a fighter—you know when to throw punches and when to roll with them…” – Sophia Amoruso, author of #GIRLBOSS, founder and owner of Nasty Gal

“If you are successful, it is because somewhere, sometime, someone gave you a life or an idea that started you in the right direction. Remember also that you are indebted to life until you help some less fortunate person, just as you were helped.” – Melinda Gates co-founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation

What is your definition of a boss ?  What makes you feel empowered ?

Any tips you have for me ? Let me know !
